“Borgoña en Frutilla” is a traditional alcoholic drink for the summer time in my home country, Chile. It is very refreshing and easy to prepare, here are the ingredients and method for 4 servings:
- Strawberries: 250 gm.
- 1 bottle of white wine of your choice. It must be cold.
- Sugar, enough to cover the strawberries, about 2 or 3 spoonfuls.
Start by washing and slicing the strawberries, put them in a small bowl and cover with sugar.
Keep in the fridge for at least one hour until the fruit has absorbed most of the sugar and it stars to release its juice.
Put into a jug and add the cold wine, stir and serve in wine glasses.
This drink can also be made with red wine and chopped peaches instead.
